In a prime location like the center of Shanghai, the rich history and legends have played a significant role in shaping the project’s extensive development. From the project’s prominent position, we gained clear insights to create a shopping mall tailored for a new young generation—one with a luxurious style and a strong appreciation for arts and culture.
Near the project site, we discovered a Ginkgo tree, whose leaves inspired the creation of scattered icons throughout the mall. The area’s former fish market provided ideas for bringing a more human scale to the space, complemented by lighting that mimics natural daylight. This interior design project seeks to seamlessly integrate the disciplines of architecture and landscape design into a single, cohesive space.
